Do you want to start practicing Yoga but feeling too nervous to attend your first class?
Do you understand the physical yoga practice but want to understand more about anatomy and philosophy?
Are you an experienced Yogi looking to enhance your current practice?
If you answered yes to any of the above, this 2hr workshop is for you! In this workshop we will teach you the essentials that you need to help you start your yoga journey whilst also helping those already on their journey to enhance their practice.
The workshop will contain:
• The basics of what "Yoga" really is (hint-it's more than just physical postures)
• Basic Yoga philosophy and anatomy
• The importance of breath, its effect on your practice and how to use it as a way to begin meditation
• Some basic detailed Yoga postures including standing poses, forward & back bends, rotations and sun salutations
• Detailed alignment and how to make personalised adjustments to improve and enhance your practice creating ease and stability.

No previous yoga experience is necessary – bring yourself, water & some comfortable, stretchy clothes to this relaxed & informal workshop where you are encouraged to ask as many questions as you like throughout to get the most from it.

Please bring a cushion, large towel to cover the mat provided and a pen and paper

What if I could teach you how to be present on your mat and give you the confidence to move how your body wants you to move?

I want to show you how you can achieve all of this, in one simple workshop.

 

This workshop is all about how to start (and keep!) a Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga Self Practice. I am going to show you how to start flowing with confidence by yourself between postures using your natural breath. We will talk about planning, timing, creating a sacred space, sequences, meditation, music as well as how to over-come the hurdles of what a self practice can put in front of you - like motivations and consistency.

 

No previous experience required. Just bring a note pad and pen and your yoga may (if you have one). Open to all levels and all ages from 14+.
