Advice for beginners
If you're new to practising yoga, we recommend trying
Relax , Strong or Yin to get you started.
Beginning yoga may be challenging, especially taking that first step to arrive for your initial class. At Eden Hot Yoga we appreciate this and therefore, do all we can to help you have the best possible experience.
Like any new challenging activity, it can take time to feel and understand the benefits. The heat of a hot yoga class, may take time for you to adjust to, or perhaps the faster pace of the hot flow yoga, leaves you feeling a little lost, but with some patience and a little dedication the science of yoga will gradually unfold.
Make sure you come prepared for class. It is advised to arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to your first class, as you will need to complete a medical questionnaire. If you are late, unfortunately we will not be able to permit entry to the studio, as the warm up is vital for preventing injury. It is recommended that you refrain from eating 2-3 hours prior to class, but please ensure you drink plenty of water.
For the class you will need to bring :
Drinking water, we do sell bottled water at the studio, should you forget.
A yoga mat and props (yoga blocks, straps etc ) should you have them. We do have a selection to borrow if needed, please ask at reception.
A towel (beach towel size is perfect).
Appropriate clothing - Shorts or leggings with a suitable lightweight sports top.
Our Studio is fitted with the best, state of the art heating system, creating the perfect environment to get sweaty. Our teachers are also well equipped to adjust the heating system, as necessary to make sure everyone breaks a good sweat !
Please feel free to speak to the teachers after class, if you have any questions or concerns. A good teacher and the right practice can significantly contribute to the enjoyment, growth and understanding.
